Top Books of 2021: A List of My Favorites

As we enter 2021, it’s time to start thinking about the books we want to read this year. I’m always looking for new and exciting reads, so I’ve compiled a list of my top books of 2021. From gripping thrillers to thought-provoking non-fiction, there’s something for everyone on this list. Whether you’re looking for a great beach read or something to dive into on a rainy day, these books are sure to keep you entertained.

First up is The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. This novel follows the story of twin sisters who take very different paths in life. It’s a captivating story of identity and family, and it’s sure to keep you turning the pages.

Next is The Mirror & the Light by Hilary Mantel. This is the highly anticipated conclusion to Mantel’s Wolf Hall trilogy. It follows the life of Thomas Cromwell, one of the most powerful figures in Tudor England. If you’re a fan of historical fiction, this is a must-read.

If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, The Midnight Library by Matt Haig is a great choice. It follows Nora Seed, who finds herself in a library between life and death. She has the chance to explore different lives she could have lived and make a choice about which one she wants to pursue.

For non-fiction lovers, I recommend Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson. This book explores the unspoken caste system that has shaped America and its lasting effects on society today. It’s an eye-opening read that will make you think about the world in a different way.

Finally, I’m looking forward to reading The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab. This novel follows Addie LaRue, who makes a deal with the devil and is cursed to live forever but be forgotten by everyone she meets. It’s sure to be an imaginative and captivating story.

These are just a few of my top books of 2021. I can’t wait to dive into them and explore new worlds and ideas. What books are you looking forward to reading this year?
