August Reading List: Books I Read

and Loved

This August, I had the pleasure of reading a few amazing books that I just couldn’t put down. From historical fiction to fantasy, here’s a list of the books I read and loved this month.

First up is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. This novel follows the story of a young girl named Liesel Meminger during World War II in Nazi Germany. It is a heartbreaking yet beautiful tale of courage, friendship, and the power of words.

Next on my list is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. This fantasy novel follows the story of two magicians who are pitted against each other in a magical duel. It is a captivating story full of mystery and romance.

The third book I read this month was The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. This thriller follows the story of Rachel Watson, an alcoholic who becomes entangled in a missing persons case. It is a suspenseful and gripping read that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Finally, I read The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. This Pulitzer Prize-winning novel follows the story of Theo Decker, a young man who is struggling to make sense of his chaotic life. It is an emotional and powerful story about love, loss, and redemption.

These four books were my August reads and I highly recommend them all! Whether you’re looking for a gripping thriller or an emotional journey, these books have something for everyone. So grab your favorite mug of tea and get ready to dive into these amazing stories!
