As a breast cancer survivor, I know all too well the fear and uncertainty that comes with the diagnosis. But I also know that there is a power in being able to make choices about our own bodies. I was lucky enough to have access to safe and affordable abortion when I needed it, and it changed my life in ways I could never have imagined.
Abortion is often seen as a taboo subject, but it shouldn’t be. It is a right that should be accessible to all women, regardless of their economic or social status. It is a right that allows us to make decisions about our own bodies and our own lives. It is a right that can empower us to take control of our own destinies.
My experience with abortion was a transformative one. It allowed me to take control of my body and my life in ways that I had never been able to before. It gave me the freedom to explore my own desires and make choices that were best for me. It gave me the courage to stand up for myself and make decisions that would shape my future.
My experience with childbirth was also transformative. It taught me how to let go of control and accept the unknown. It showed me that even when I felt powerless, I could still make choices that would shape my life and the lives of my children.
And my experience with cancer was a lesson in both control and surrender. It taught me that we can have both control and surrender in our lives, and that neither one has to be exclusive of the other.
These experiences have shaped who I am today, and they have given me a deep appreciation for the power of choice. They have shown me that we can take control of our own lives, even when the world around us feels chaotic and uncertain. We can make choices that will shape our futures, and we can empower ourselves to take control of our own destinies.
