It’s been a while since Amazon released a software update for Kindle ereaders, but the wait is finally over! The new update, 5.15.1.1, is now available to download, thanks to a heads-up by jhowell at MobileRead. While the update isn’t showing up on Amazon’s software page just yet, you can still get it and enjoy the new features.
The new update includes bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as a few new features. For example, the update adds support for the new Kindle Oasis, as well as the ability to customize the font size and line spacing for PDF files. It also adds support for the new Kindle Voyage, which has a higher resolution display than previous models.
If you’re looking to get the new update, you can download it from Amazon’s website. Be sure to back up your device before installing the update, just in case something goes wrong.
It’s great to see Amazon continuing to improve their Kindle ereader lineup with new software updates. If you have a Kindle, make sure to check out the new update and see what it has to offer!
