Recently, Rebecca was a guest on Brad Listi’s podcast, The Other People. During the episode, they discussed Rebecca’s writing process and how she creates such well-plotted stories. Rebecca shared that she starts with plot and has a strong sense of when someone might be bored and does her best to keep that from happening. She also discussed how she has studied plot structure, from Aristotle’s Poetics to modern day techniques, and how she encourages her students to slow down and let readers know what a character is thinking and why.
